COLLEGE

Genevieve Turgeon

University of Maine goaltender Genevieve Turgeon was named the Hockey East Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time. Turgeon made 37 saves in a loss to Boston University and 23 saves in a 0-0 tie to Vermont.

Laura Anning

Colby College junior forward Laura Anning was honored as the NESCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Co-Player of the Week with Middlebury’s Annmarie Cellino. Anning scored four goals in a 5-1 win over Southern Maine.

Stacey Kent

University of Southern Maine junior Stacey Kent was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Kent scored 20 points in a 76-57 win over Bates.

Kaylie DeMillo

University of Southern Maine freshman Kaylie DeMillo was honored as the Rookie of the Week by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. DeMillo had a career-high 16 points in Southern Maine’s 76-57 win over Bates.
