Branch manager

BREWER – Tony Cerbone has been promoted to branch manager of the Merrill Bank branch at 366 Wilson St.

Cerbone began his career at Merrill in 2005 as a mortgage originator. He has a bachelor’s degree from Husson College.

He worked in the automobile industry in the Bangor area for 18 years and operated Pro Golf Discount for 16 years.

Cerbone’s community service includes two years on the board of directors for Penobscot Valley Country Club.

Shopping for a cause

BANGOR – Employees of Oxford Networks filled shopping carts recently at the Bangor Mall Hannaford to help Manna Ministries fill its food pantry for the winter.

Oxford Networks donated four vans full of nonperishable food items to ensure that needy families are fed throughout the winter months. Employees also issued a challenge to other area businesses to do the same.

Bank board member

CASTINE – Rendle A. Jones, chairman of the board of directors for Camden National Corp., announced that Karen W. Stanley of Castine has been named to the board of directors.

In 1999, Stanley and her husband established Stanley Subaru in Ellsworth. Previously, she served with Priority Management, Citibank and Xerox.

Recognized with the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2004 Corporate Citizen of the Year Award, Stanley is board chairwoman of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and former board chairwoman of Hospice of Hancock County.
