The U.S. Army has awarded General Dynamics-Saco Defense in Saco a nearly $37 million firm-fixed price contract for machine guns manufactured at the facility.

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products Inc. was awarded the $36,591,240 firm-fixed price contract to purchase 3,048 M2 machine guns for foreign military sales.

The work will be carried out at the company’s Saco facility for completion by June 30, 2009.
