Sean McNally of the University of Maine men’s basketball team was honored as the America East Rookie of the Week. The freshman center from Gardiner had six points, three rebounds and an assist in 19 minutes of action in a 106-50 loss to the University of Connecticut.

Tanna Ross

Tanna Ross of the University of Maine was selected as the America East Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week. The freshman guard/forward from Newburgh scored a team-high 17 points and pulled down a team-best seven rebounds in the Black Bears’ 68-56 loss at Boston College.
