$40,000 in damage to home leads to man’s indictment

DOVER-FOXCROFT – A Milo man who police said trashed a home where his estranged wife was living last summer was among eight people indicted Friday by the grand jury in Piscataquis County.

David Mullins, 51, was indicted for theft by authorized taking, two counts of criminal mischief, burglary and aggravated criminal mischief.

His wife, who previously had filed for a divorce, had been granted temporary custody of the home after David Mullins was found guilty of assaulting her.

Mullins went to the home and caused about $40,000 in damage, according to Milo police.

Roy Lemieux, 65, of Sangerville was indicted on four counts of theft by unauthorized taking. Lemieux is accused of stealing wood from several landowners along the Central Maine Power Co. right of way.

Leroy Nightingale Jr., 64, of Monson was indicted for aggravated marijuana cultivation and aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. A search warrant was executed at his home in July where police allegedly found a marijuana growing operation. He also reportedly was selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of Monson Elementary School.

Roland Scott Cookson, 41, of Guilford was indicted for possession of firearms by a felon. State police who executed a search at his home in September allegedly found 11 guns in the house and two more guns in a safe on the property.

Randy D. Cookson, 28, of Sangerville was indicted for reckless conduct in connection with an October chase at high speeds on Route 15 that ended in an accident in front of McDonald’s Restaurant.

Kevin O. Pearl, 42, of Milo was indicted for marijuana cultivation after police allegedly found 275 marijuana plants at his home in April.

Also indicted were:

. James Ward Jr., 27, Charleston, operating after revocation.

. Laurie J. Ford, 46, Newport, criminal operating under the influence and aggravated operating habitual offender revocation.
