BAR HARBOR – The Old Town Coyotes went 17-of-22 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to beat Mount Desert Island 59-46 in a schoolboy basketball game Friday night and end the Trojans eight-game winning streak.
Ethan Shanley poured in a game-high 18 points for Old Town, and Mamadou Ba chipped in with 12.
Ben Young’s 12 points paced the Trojans, while Brett Mitchell added 10.

Dan Clark and Nick Thorne scored one goal each for 7-2-1 Winslow. Sean Bourgois posted two assists while Charlie Kriegel and Matt Loubier contributed on each.
David Eugley came up with 34 saves on 38 shots for 4-7-1 Orono.

At Presque Isle, Brian Allyn scored two goals, including one in a three-goal second period as Greely of Cumberland Center rallied past Presque Isle.
Tucker Geoffroy and Jesse Shavel each added goals in the second period for Greely. Andy Beckmann, Scott Fournier, Kyle Selig, Shavel and Allyn each grabbed an assist. Matt Labbe made 17 saves on 19 shots for the 5-4 Rangers.
Brennen Shaw and Zac Campbell each scored a goal in the first period for Presque Isle. Jason Martin, Steve Ford and Shaw had an assist apiece. Ethan Hill stopped 26 of 30 shots for the 5-6-1 Wildcats.
