HAMPDEN – Sarah Peters scored the game-winner following a long dash to goal after receiving the ball from Leslie Matthews as Hampden Academy beat Hermon 3-2 in overtime in high school field hockey action Thursday.
Jenna Kiser and Christie Mosley added a goal each for 4-3 Hampden. Jennifer Hessert made 14 saves on 17 shots.
Rebecca Dill sent it into OT for the 2-5 Hawks, with 3:08 left. Lindsey Guerrette also found the back of the net, and Natalie Bell turned away four of 13 shots.

PCHS 2, Stearns 0
At Millinocket, Karole-Anne Emery and Kristy Levesque scored first-half goals to lift the Piscataquis Community Pirates. Caterina Riitano made five saves for Guilford’s 5-1-1 Pirates.
Becca Saucier made three saves for 3-2-2 Stearns.

Dexter 5, Central 0
At Dexter, senior Kristy Veazie scored four goals and Courtney McCormick dished out four assists to help the undefeated Tigers improve to 7-0.
Meagan Fogarty added a goal and an assist for Dexter, which has outscored its opponents 45-0 in its seven wins. Cindy Koscielny wasn’t forced to make a save.
Cindy Dehm made 13 saves on 24 shots for 4-2-1 Central of Corinth.

Bangor 2, Brewer 1 (2OT)
At Bangor, Sara Boyorak smacked home the game-winning unassisted goal past Brewer’s Hilary Ohmart with three seconds remaining in the second overtime, as the Rams improved to 3-4.
Ashley Emerson added a goal for Bangor, and Allison Frazier stopped nine of 14 shots.
Ashley Benn scored an unassisted goal to send it to OT, with nine minutes left for the 0-7 Witches. Ohmart stopped all six shots she faced.

Belfast 3, MCI 1
At Belfast, Sarah Skinner knocked in two goals to help the Lions remain unbeaten.
Ashley Bryant contributed a goal for 7-0 Belfast. Tash Scott rejected nine of 10 shots.
Heidi Andrews provided the goal for 5-2 MCI of Pittsfield. Julie Andrews stopped 15 of 18 shots.

Boys soccer
Lee Academy 3, East Grand 1
At Lee, Blair Emery broke a 1-1 tie by gathering in a David Rideout through ball, maneuvering past goalie Chris Irish and tapping the ball into the net as Lee Academy upended previously undefeated East Grand of Danforth. Emery scored 1:35 into the second half and Frank Severance added an insurance goal with 9:53 left.
Nate Dow had the other goal for 6-2-1 Lee off a Gerry Worster feed and Adam Ham made 13 saves on 16 shots. Irish finished with 16 saves on 21 shots.
Islesboro 4, Highview Chr. 1
At Charleston, Jonathan Bolduc scored two goals and assisted on one to fuel the victory.
Ben Roberts chipped in with a goal and two assists for the 3-1 winners and Pat Knight added a goal. Rory Diffin and Morgan Kerr combined for eight saves on 14 shots.
Nick Waite scored off a Devan Philbrick assist for 3-2 Highview Christian. Goalie Gordon Lovell made 22 saves on 36 shots.
Mount View 6, Rockland 0
At Thorndike, Rick Malady had three goals and an assist to lead the Mustangs to the win.
Ryan Donovan notched a goal and two assists for 5-2 Mount View. Marc McCorrison and Piesse Gazar added a goal each. Dan Pellerin and Alex Mitchell combined to stop 11 of 12 shots.
For the 0-8 Tigers, Justin Widdecomb and Jake Newcomb combined to reject 21 of 31 shots.

Piscataquis 7, Bangor Christian 3
At Guilford, Eric Jennings and Josh Herrick scored a pair of goals apiece as Piscataquis improved to 2-2-2.
Harper Hoffman, Jon Prescott and Kyle Jennings staked Piscataquis to a 3-0 halftime lead.
Matt Free and Caleb Davis had an assist apiece and John Luellen teamed with Brandon Jones for 12 saves on 17 shots.
Kliton Xhemali had a pair of goals for 3-3-1 Bangor Christian and Matt Conley had the other one. D.J. McCleary made 21 saves on 38 shots.

Narraguagus 3, Sumner 2 (OT)
At East Sullivan, the second of Missy Barbee’s two goals came with 3.5 seconds remaining in overtime as the Knights of Harrington improved to 3-2. The Tigers fell to 3-3-1. Sarah Snider turned back five of eight shots.
Liz Brunton scored both goals for Sumner. Hillary Page rejected 24 of 26 shots.
Camden Hills 1, Oak Hill 1 (2OT)
At Camden, the 3-3-4 Windjammers and 1-4-1 Raiders of Sabattus battled to a double-overtime tie.
Caitlin Brown scored Camden Hills’ goal on a penalty kick. Olivia Mitchell and Annah Sullivan combined to stop 12 of 14 shots.
Hope Nadeau turned back nine of 11 shots for Oak Hill.
Searsport 3, Dexter 0
At Dexter, Janelle Hamilton and Sheila Wilber scored first-half goals and Mo Hall finished with four saves on nine shots as Searsport improved to 4-2.
Jessica Larrabee added an insurance goal in the second half. Jessica Plourde had two assists.
Daphne Robichaud made 20 saves on 35 shots for 2-4 Dexter.
Mount View 2, Rockland 0
At Rockland, Haylee Freeman’s first-half goal and Emily Estell’s second-half tally combined with Danielle Mayer’s three saves to supply Mount View of Thorndike, now 3-3.
Jessica Clark made eight saves for 0-8 Rockland.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Katy Sturgeon notched the hat trick and Alex Waring made three saves on five shots as John Bapst upped its mark to 4-0-1.
Meghan Sekera and Rebecca Stevens had the other goals while Debbie Legere and Amanda Sangillo had assists.
Darcy McCormick and Katie Walsh combined for 11 saves on 23 shots for 1-5 Foxcroft.
Ellsworth 1, George Stevens 0
At Ellsworth, Monica Gardner’s rising shot from 20 yards out off a Meghan Pelletier pass was the only goal Ellsworth needed as Victoria Jones made six saves on nine shots for her fourth shutout of the year.
Ellsworth is now 4-1-2 while Blue Hill’s George Stevens Academy fell to 5-2-1.
Sarah Kilch made nine saves on 17 shots for the Eagles.

At Orono, Kaylee Westhoven scored off a pass from Olivia Alford to give the Red Riots the win.
Sarah Scott added a goal for 3-3-1 Orono. Joelle Clingerman and Marie Lint combined to turn back three of four shots.
Sarah Johnson stopped nine of 22 shots for the 0-5-1 Trojans.

Old Town 1, Hermon 0
At Old Town, Mallory Brown scored from point-blank range off a goal-mouth scramble with 20 minutes remaining and Whitney Carey made three saves for her sixth shutout of the season and Old Town triumphed. Old Town is now 5-0-2.
Shannon Wiggin made 21 saves for 1-6 Hermon.

Hampden 2, Nokomis 0
At Newport, Emmy Russell turned back six of 10 shots, as the 7-0 Broncos blanked the Warriors.
Casey McCluskey and Katie Lawler provided the goals for Hampden. Kim Stevenson added an assist.
Tia Beauregard stopped 17 of 20 shots for 3-3 Nokomis.

Lee 5, Bangor Christian 0
At Bangor, Shelby Pickering scored a pair of goals as Lee ran its record to 6-0.
Ashley Gifford, Jenny Stevens and Melissa Hanscom had the other goals. Deidra Ham had an assist and Katie Harris made two saves on four shots.
Kendil Snow made 15 saves on 25 shots for 1-4-1 Bangor Christian.

At East Millinocket, Sarah Gordon scored two goals and Laura Davis handed out two assists to lead the Wolverines.
Jessica Day notched the first goal for 3-3-0 Schenck while Beth Chasse and Megan Carey combined to make six saves on eight shots.
Julie MacDonald and Nicole Richards scored the goals for 1-5-1 Central of Corinth. Jamie Lawrence tallied an assist and Nicole Daniel made 16 saves on 24 shots.
