LEE – Lee Academy senior Karin Bird scored nine points, including the 1,000th of her career midway through the first quarter as the Pandas rolled to an 84-43 girls basketball win over Katahdin Monday night.

Bird needed five points to eclipse 1,000 going into the game.

Dana Houghton scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Pandas while Aarika Ritchie tossed in 16 points for Lee and Amanda Gifford added 13.

Kayla Stevens paced the Cougars of Stacyville with 14 points followed by Olivia McNally with 13.
