The Maine Democratic Party will send 10 superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention in Denver in late August. They are:
. Gov. John Baldacci.
. U.S. Rep. Tom Allen of Maine’s 1st Congressional District.
. U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud of Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.
. Sam Spencer, the party’s Democratic national committeeman.
. Rita Moran, the Democratic national committeewoman.
. John Knutson, Maine Democratic Party chairman.
. Marianne Stevens, Maine Democratic Party vice chairman.
. Former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell.
. Former Gov. Kenneth Curtis.
. A person to be appointed by Knutson at the Democratic State Convention this spring.
Knutson announced last week that he would support the candidate who wins the majority of the vote in Maine’s caucuses. Two superdelegates, Baldacci and Curtis, have committed to supporting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. The rest are uncommitted, Arden Manning, executive director of the Maine Democratic Party, said Sunday.
