Maine poet Lee Sharkey will read from her new book, “A Darker, Sweeter String,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Farmington Public Library.
In this collection, Sharkey, a co-editor of Beloit Poetry Journal, explores “the disfigured psychic landscape of cruelty, violence and war.”
The book is published by Off The Grid Press and available at www.offthegridpress.net, Borders in Bangor, Blue Hill Books and Port in a Storm Bookstore in Somesville.
