Brad and Dee Goodwin have been hired to manage the Sunbury Village Retirement Residence in Bangor. The couple lived in Ithaca, N.Y., before returning to the area to accept the position. She attended Brewer schools and Beal College in Bangor. He attended Husson College in Bangor and previously worked for Eastern A.I. Co-op.
Darrin Stavnesli has been named admissions counselor at the New England School of Communications, an affiliate of Husson College. Stavnesli will be responsible for working with prospective students from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Stavnesli came to NESCom from WVII-TV, Channel 7, where he shot news video for four years.
Deanna Parsons has been promoted to the position of assistant region coordinator for child and family services at the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program. Based in Madison, Parsons is responsible for assisting in the management of the Fairfield, North New Portland and Madison Head Start programs. Parsons has been employed primarily as a teacher for the child care and Head Start Programs at KVCAP for 15 years.
Matthew McHatten has been hired as assistant vice president and market director for the home office of Maine Mutual Fire Insurance Co. in Presque Isle. McHatten brings 11 years of experience in commercial banking and cash management, most recently as vice president and relationship manager with KeyBank. McHatten holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from the University of Maine in Orono.
