Hudson

The annual town meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the town hall. Residents will vote from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, at the town hall to elect two selectmen and one member to the SAD 64 board of directors.

Incumbent Michael Kelley and Maureen Scranton are running for two, two-year selectmen posts, while incumbent Rhonda Williams seeks election to the sole three-year SAD 64 director position.

Residents will consider 48 warrant articles during the town meeting, which will set the municipal budget.

Kenduskeag

The annual town meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the fire station.

Voting will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the town office to elect one selectman, one SAD 64 director and one road commissioner. Incumbent Mary Waite is running unopposed for the three-year selectman position and incumbent Suzanne Chasse-Davis is unopposed in the SAD 64 director election. Nobody filed papers to run for the road commissioner post.

Residents will consider the approximately $750,000 proposed municipal budget and 36 warrant articles. Directors from SAD 64 will be at the meeting to tell residents about the state school consolidation process.

Dixmont

After two hours Saturday, residents approved all annual town meeting warrants articles, including the $530,000 municipal budget.

Judy Dann was elected to the single three-year term on the board of selectmen with 48 votes, Scott McGarr was elected with 15 votes to a three-year post on the SAD 38 board of directors and Randall Fairman received 18 votes for a five-year term on the planning board. Robert Smith was elected for the 39th year as the cemetery sexton, while Judy Patterson and Marion Dunivan were elected to serve five-year terms on the board of cemetery trustees.

There were few questions from the 81 attendees, the clerk said, and most enjoyed a lunch after the meeting to benefit the Dixmont Scholarship Association.
