Anthony D’Alfonso

University of Southern Maine junior outfielder Anthony D’Alfonso of Westbrook was named the Little East Conference Baseball Player of the Week. D’Alfonso went 18-for-37 with 15 runs scored, two doubles, five home runs and 13 RBIs in nine games.

Jordan Berthiaume

Freshman catcher Jordan Berthiaume of the University of Southern Maine was honored as the Little East Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week. Berthiaume went 14-for-29 with nine runs, a double, homer and 13 RBIs.

Hattie Landry

University of Southern Maine senior Hattie Landry was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week by the Little East Conference. Landry set a school record in the 100-meter hurdles at the Florida State Relays with a time of 15.60.

Curtis Wheeler

University of Southern Maine senior Curtis Wheeler was named the Little East Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. Wheeler had a time of 15:23.87 to win the 5,000-meter run at the Snowflake Classic.

Adam Haggerty

University of Southern Maine senior Adam Haggerty was named the Men’s Field Athlete of the week by the Little East Conference. Haggerty won the pole vault at the Snowflake Classic with a height of 13-111/4 feet.

Terren Hall

University of Maine freshman third baseman Terren Hall was named the America East Rookie of the Week for softball. Hall batted .450 with nine hits in 20 plate appearances and totaling three runs, eight RBIs, two home runs and two doubles.

Richard McNeil

Bates College sophomore Richard McNeil was honored as the NESCAC Men’s Field Performer of the Week. McNeil was fourth in the hammer throw (158-6), second in the discus (145-0) and second in the shot put (44-113/4) at the Snowflake Classic.

Esther Kendall

Bates College sophomore Esther Kendall was named the NESCAC Women’s Track Performer of the Week. Kendall won the steeplechase in the Tufts Snowflake Classic wit a time of 12:27.50.

Kyle McKay

Colby College junior catcher Kyle McKay was honored as the NESCAC Baseball Player of the Week. In eight games, McKay had 14 hits (.560 average) with four doubles. He also threw out four attempted base stealers while providing errorless defense.
