ORONO – The Maynard F. Jordan Planetarium at the University of Maine will offer shows during school vacation for children, friends and family interested in seeing a variety of star shows:
. 11 a.m. Monday, April 21: “Earth’s Wild Ride,” shows the Earth undergoing an eclipse seen from a futuristic moon colony.
. 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22: “Destination Pluto,” travels to the end of the solar system with a look at each planet.
. 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23: “Our Sky Family,” an introduction to the planetarium and planets.
. 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24: “Hubble Vision” shows views of deep space through the lens of the Hubble Space Telescope.
. 11 a.m. Friday, April 25: “Worlds of Wonder,” a trip of the solar system.
. 7 p.m. Friday, April 25: “Ring World,” looks at a system of rings, moons and the planet Saturn.
Tickets for the shows are $3 at the door, or call the planetarium at 581-1341.
