Outlook: The Bears find themselves on the outside looking in at postseason, while the Bearcats are fighting for the regular-season title. UMaine was eliminated from playoff contention during a 1-3 weekend at Vermont. The Bears will try to generate some momentum heading into 2009. Binghamton is likely to finish second, as it went 0-4 against first-place Stony Brook. Kevin McAvoy of Brewer is swinging a hot bat for UMaine. Binghamton is the league’s top pitching team with a 5.03 ERA.
