BLUE HILL – Lucas Marks hit an RBI double in the fifth inning to give George Stevens Academy the lead for good as they went on to a 5-2 high school baseball victory over Mount Desert Island Monday.
Peter Dickinson allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out 13 for the Eagles.
Steve Ensworth tied it at 2-2 with an RBI single in the fifth. Ensworth added another single and Nick Saunders hit an RBI single in the sixth.
Brett Mitchell hit a run-scoring single in the first inning to lead the Trojans and Justin Gilmartin doubled.

Washburn sweeps East Grand
At Washburn, Sebastian Viola singled, stole a base and scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning as Washburn tripped East Grand of Danforth 10-9 in the second game of a doubleheader.
The Beavers won the opener 8-6.
In the second game, Viola added an RBI double while Ethan Doody singled twice and tripled (3 RBIs) for the Beavers.
Travis Conley had three singles and an RBI and Justin Howe two singles.
Matt Steeves and Jesse Nichols had an RBI single apiece for East Grand.
In the first game, Conley doubled and singled to knock in two runs while Tyler Farley had an RBI single for Washburn.
David Cropley singled twice and doubled to knock in three runs for East Grand. Steeves had three singles (RBI) and Aaron Henn two singles and an RBI.

At Lee, Collin Ciomei hit a two-run homer in the second inning to give Deer Isle-Stonington a lead they would never relinquish as the Mariners defeated Lee Academy.
Eric Moran doubled and singled with two RBIs for DI-Stonington. Ethan Pinkham singled twice and Ciomei had eight strikeouts in five innings.
A.J. Harris led Lee with two singles and Chance Raymond singled and scored a run in the seventh inning.

At Searsport, senior Tom Cameron allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out 11 to lead Searsport past Sumner of East Sullivan.
Josiah Brazier hit a single and a sixth-inning two-run triple for Searsport. Casey Ashey added a double, single and an RBI.
Mike Crowley singled twice to lead Sumner. Ryan Daley hit an RBI single in the fourth inning.

Gagnon struck out eight and walked two. Nick Smith pitched a scoreless seventh.
Miles Gagnon had a two-run triple in the fourth.
Casey Hull had two doubles for the Crusaders and Kyle Gallant tripled and singled and drove in a run.
Ryan Helms had a two-run double for Hermon and Brian Day pitched a complete-game six-hitter.

Washburn sweeps East Grand
At Washburn, the Washburn Beavers swept a doubleheader from East Grand of Danforth with a 20-5 win in the first game and a 37-8 victory in the second. Both games lasted five innings.
In the first game, the Beavers took advantage of 11 walks and Kelsee McLaughlin drove in two runs with two singles. Amber Reed allowed nine hits en route to the win.
Courtney Lloyd had two singles and two RBIs for the Vikings while Chelsee Norris added two singles.
In the second game, Meghan Saucier hit three home runs – two in the same inning. She had a two-run homer in the second inning, a two-run shot in the fifth, and a grand slam in the fifth. Kelsee McLaughlin added solo homers in the second and fifth, a double, two singles, and three RBIs. Rachel Palmer singled twice. Rebecca Campbell pitched a four-hitter in the

Stephi Davis paced the GSA attack with a triple and a single and three RBIs. Kara Strout had a pair of singles and an RBI and Abby Astbury hit a two-run double.
Megan Simason had a run-scoring single for MDI and Amanda York had a single.

Kayla Santheson doubled, singled and drove in a run for Medomak. Melissa Ambridge and Tessa Dodge each had two singles and an RBI. Ashley Hunt added two singles.
Santheson and Kayla Vannah combined to strike out 12.
Dana Clark hit an RBI single in the fifth inning for Rockland and Maggie McNeilly followed with a two-run single.
