Workshop on plants, medicinal uses on tap

FORT KENT – The University of Maine at Fort Kent Acadian Archives-Archives Acadiennes and the Wesget-Sipu clan will sponsor a workshop about the uses of native plants for medicinal purposes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Acadian Archives on the UMFK campus.

Natalia Bragg-Taylor of Knot-II-Bragg Farm in Wade, will identify plants, herbs and roots that grow naturally in the environment and what they can be used for. Bragg-Taylor, an American Indian, is a founding member of the Aroostook County Herb Association.
