HERMON -Greg Hawes allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out five to lead Movingme.com to a 1-0 win over Aerus Electrolux in the opening game of a Bay League baseball doubleheader Sunday.

Aerus Electrolux won the second game 10-9.

In the first game, Shawn Sutherland singled in the fourth, stole second and scored on an Eric Schwab single.

Anthony DeRosa allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 14. Phil Cayford and Eric Roy singled.

In the second game, Randy Renaud hit a two-run double and a single to pace Aerus Electrolux. Aaron Largay singled twice.

Joe Seggio led Movingme.com with a seventh-inning two-run double and a single. Sam Carbonetti hit an RBI double and Shawn Sutherland doubled and singled with an RBI.

Union Street sweeps Montville

At Husson College in Bangor, Scott Hackett was a home run short of the cycle and drove in three runs as Union Street Cleaners defeated Montville 7-2 in Sunday’s first game. Union Street Cleaners also won the nightcap 5-2.

In the first game, Hackett tripled, double and singled for Union Street Cleaners. Chris McInnis added three singles, three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Chris Irish singled twice for Montville and Ian Lee hit an RBI double in the first inning.

In the second game, Scott Flannery hit a two-run triple in the second inning to lead Union Street Cleaners and Chris Pease singled and scored a run.

Irish had a single, stolen base and an RBI for Montville. Lee singled and scored a run.
