BANGOR – Chris Smith hit a two-run home run to highlight at five-run fifth inning as Motor City of Bangor edged the Orono Twins 11-10 in an American Legion baseball game Tuesday.
Andrew Casey had three singles and a triple with an RBI while Charlie Merritt posted a double and a single with three RBIs for Motor City.
Max Winter hit a two-run home run in the first inning for Orono. Kash Keezer had three singles and three RBIs while Dan LeBretton added two-run triple for the Twins.

At Hampden, Shawn Smith retired the first 14 men he faced and finished with a four-hitter, surviving a three-run seventh inning rally to lead Hampden past Presque Isle.
Smith struck out eight and walked one.
Brennen Perry doubled and singled for the Riverdogs, Nolan Turner singled twice and Derek Amoroso’s sixth-inning fielder’s choice drove in what proved to be the winning run.
Matt Chasse had two doubles for the Patriots, including a two-run double in the seventh, and Josh Harvey also doubled home a run.
Lefty Pat Thibodeau hurled a complete-game six-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Garen Manzo’s RBI single highlighted a six-run fifth inning as the Lincoln Lumber rallied for the victory.
Tyson Tash singled in a run while Lance Bernier doubled, singled and scored two runs for Lincoln.
Scott Kelley and Nick Lancisi singled for Penquis.
