Nickerson key for Steamboat

SEARSPORT – Josh Nickerson hit a two-run home run in the third inning and Nate Adams follow with a solo homer to help lift Steamboat Petroleum of Waldo County to a 10-2 American Legion baseball win over Trenton Monday.

Miles Davee doubled and singled with two RBIs for Steamboat and Jake Arthers added an RBI single.

Collin Ciomei led Trenton with two singles and a run scored. Calvin Tweedie had a single, stolen base and a run scored.

At Hermon, Brad Goody hit a three-run double to tie it in the bottom of the sixth inning and Marcus Nadeau drove Goody home on a single to win it for MovingMe.org.

George Keffe hit a third-inning three-run triple to pace Union Street Cleaners. Jimmy Cox had eight strikeouts in four innings.

Aerus 9, Montville 2

At Husson College in Bangor, Mark Farnham took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and Anthony Derosa finished in the seventh as Aerus Electrolux defeated Montville.

James Dobson doubled and singled with two RBIs for Aerus Electrolux. Aaron Largay hit a double and a single and Nate Ellis singled twice.

Montville’s Cameron Masters singled in the sixth to break up the no-hitter. Wade Oliver also singled.
