PRESQUE ISLE – Dan Emerson headed in a corner kick cross from Brad Holabird with 20 minutes remaining in the game Friday to give the University of Maine-Presque Isle a 1-0 men’s soccer victory over Husson College.

Jon Cole saved all five shots he faced for 5-3 UM-Presque Isle. Cliff Urquhart stopped six of seven shots for 0-8 Husson of Bangor.

Albany 2, Maine 0

At Albany, N.Y., Jarvin Skeete and Lucas Machado netted goals as Albany blanked the Black Bears.

Ashtain Holmes and Valter Pinto contributed assists while Trevor Serraro made two saves on six shots for the 5-3-0 Danes.

For 1-6-0 Maine, Mat Cosgriff turned back five of 24 shots.

UM-Presque Isle 4, Thomas 1

At Presque Isle, the Owls responded to Thomas’ game opening goal with four of their own to gain the victory.

Tara Cropley led the Owls with two goals and assist, while Monique Daniel and Lukie Gagnon each scored a goal. Stephanie Gagnon added an assist. Noreen Marcino stopped three of five shots for 3-5 UM-Presque Isle.
