ROCKLAND – A bicyclist from Texas suffered minor injuries after colliding with a car on Camden Street on Monday morning.
Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said Omar Pachecano, 46, of Waco, Texas, was traveling south on Camden Street at 11:50 a.m. when he hit a 1987 Oldsmobile driven by Gregory C. Garland, 24, of Friendship. Tower said Garland was stopped and waiting to turn into VIP Auto Center when a northbound vehicle stopped to make a turn. The stopped vehicle obscured the vision of both Pachecano and Garland and when Garland began making his turn, he struck the bicycle. Officer Donald Finnegan responded to the call.
