The Cianbro Corp. has hired veteran television reporter and anchorman Alan Grover to be its public relations and corporate communications manager. Grover has spent the past 20 years in journalism, working first at WWMJ-FM radio before moving on to WVII-TV in Bangor in 1989. For the last 13 years, he has been an investigative reporter and anchorman for WABI-TV in Bangor. At Cianbro, Grover will serve as a liaison between the company and the news media along the East Coast. He also will chronicle Cianbro’s plans and accomplishments for the corporation’s 2,500 employees. Grover grew up in Monroe, attended local schools, and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in broadcast journalism. “I feel it will be an easy task telling Cianbro’s story,” he said. “The company already has a terrific reputation throughout the region.”
