FORT FAIRFIELD – Josh Booth scored off of a Travis Noyes assist with 26:14 left in the first half to lead Fort Fairfield to a season-opening 1-0 high school boys soccer win over Wisdom of St. Agatha Friday.

Austin Dufour turned away three of seven shots for 1-0 Fort Fairfield.

Curtis Collins made three saves on 10 shots for the 0-1 Pioneers.

Madawaska 5, Houlton 0

At Madawaska, Christian Lizotte and Shawn Parker scored two goals apiece as Madawaska shutout Houlton.

Jon Lee added a goal for the 1-0 Owls. Jamie Cyr and Nathan P. Beaulieu combined stop save all three shots.

Ryan VanBuskirk stopped 16 of 30 shots for 0-1 Houlton.

Ashland 3, Cen. Aroostook 1

At Presque Isle, Jake Paradis scored first-half goals to help push Ashland past Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.

Taylor Condon added a goal for the 1-0 Hornets and Jeremy Tarr provided two assists. Bobby Gardiner blocked 12 of 18 shots.

Dan Brewer scored on a penalty kick with 31:38 left in the first half for 0-1 Central Aroostook. Ross Grass and Logan McLaughlin combined for 18 saves on 26 shots.

Fort Fairfield 9, Wisdom 0

At Fort Fairfield, Courtney Churchill scored two goals and assisted another as Fort Fairfield blanked Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Brooke Beaulieu and Kelsie Wilson both scored two goals for the 1-0 Tigers. Rose-Mary Williams, Kylie Plourde and Kacie York had a goal. Kelsie York provided two assists. Paige Beaulieu and Katy Donavan combined to stop all four shots.

Suzie Collins made 18 saves on 31 shots for 0-1 Wisdom.

Ashland 9, Cen. Aroostook 0

At Presque Isle, Macie Pelkey scored four goals and provided two assists to lead Ashland to victory over Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.

Brooke Labelle had three goals and two assists for the 1-0 Hornets. Crystal Cook added two goals and two assists. Suzie Poulin and Autumn Condon had an assist. Taylor Baker stopped all four shots.

Desray Brewer blocked 15 of 27 shots for the 0-1 Panthers.
