CALAIS – Andy Frost scored two goals and Russell McLean added an assist as the Calais Blue Devils defeated Machias 2-0 to win the Downeast Athletic Conference boys soccer crown Wednesday.
Nathan Pelletier earned the shutout for Calais, making 13 saves on 15 shots.
Marcus Frutchey rejected nine of 12 shots for Machias.

Dexter 3, Central 0
At Corinth, Kristy Veazie scored with 21:35 remaining, breaking a scoreless tie as the Tigers beat the Red Devils.
Keriann Patterson scored one goal and assisted on the Veazie tally for Dexter, which finished its regular season at 14-0 and outscored its opponents 79-2 in those wins. Brittany Veazie scored the other goal, while Erika Haiko and Courtney McCormick provided assists.
Cindy Koscielny made nine saves on nine shots for the Tigers.
Cindy Dehm registered 19 saves and faced 26 shots for 8-4-2 Central.

PCHS 4, Stearns 0
At Guilford, Tedianne Galuski and Karole-Anne Emery each knocked in two goals as Piscataquis Community High finished the regular season at 11-2-1.
Emery added an assist for the winners, as did Colita Regan and Kristy Levesque. Caterina Riitano stopped all five shots she faced.
