BANGOR – National Congress of State Games Male Athlete of the Year Chris Page will be part of a public reception at Union Street Athletics on Friday at noon.

Hermon’s Page will be honored at a banquet in Rochester, New York on September 25 at the National Congress of State Games annual symposium.

Page was also named the Maine Games/New Balance Male Athlete of the Year, the first power-lifter to earn the honor.

Mindy Fowler, 17, was named the Maine Games/New Balance Female Athlete of the Year for her performance in the Maine Games’ tennis and field hockey competitions. The Winslow native earned two gold medals in tennis. She will be honored at a field hockey game in October at Winslow High School.
