Due to more difficult economic times, Augusta must be more accountable with fiscal matters and this is why I support Tom Sawyer for state Senate.
Tom has been a great asset to the Bangor area, giving his time and resources to numerous organizations. In addition to his past public service as a senator, he served on the Bangor City Council for two terms and continues to assist the region and its organizations. Currently, Tom is a corporator for the Philip Strickland Home and a trustee of Husson University. He has a lifetime of achievement including completion of a course for senior executives in state and local government at Harvard’s-JFK School of Government and Tom knows that Maine cannot tax its way out of challenging economic times.
