BANGOR – Maine Army National Guard soldiers Ben Biddlecom of Bradley, Julian Szabo of Caribou and Kenneth Creamer of Bangor have been promoted to the rank of specialist. Biddlecom, Szabo and Creamer serve in the 152nd Maintenance Company, Bangor.

Maine Army National Guard soldier Gregory Murray Jr. of Brewer has been promoted to the rank of private first class. Murray serves in the 142nd Aviation Unit, Bangor.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Gregory L. Cassidy has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Cassidy earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of David Cassidy of Cary Plantation and Diana Noyes of Bangor. The airman is a 2006 graduate of Houlton High School.
