GLENBURN – James Nicknair, son of Andrea and Marc Nicknair of Glenburn, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award given in Boy Scouts. Dana Hunter, Scoutmaster of Troop 8 in Bangor, made the award presentation.

Nicknair is a graduate of Brewer High School and attends the University of Southern Maine where he is majoring in athletic training.

For his Eagle Scout project, Nicknair coordinated the completion of a warning track around Heddericg baseball field in Brewer, The track will help ensure the safety of baseball players who will use the field in future.

Nicknair acknowledged his gratitude to his coach and mentor David Morris, his fellow baseball players and the city workers of Brewer for the successful completion of his project.
