Reason for running: In addition to supporting values that I think are absolutely essential to Maine, such as maintaining and protecting our environment, fostering an education system that will equip us for the future, and providing a health care system that includes all Mainers, I am running because I understand the need and the importance to define and provide the course for Maine’s future economy.

Reason for running: Maine has an incredible quality of life. The opportunities for ourselves, our children and grandchildren are being eroded by an … intrusive state government. The burdensome tax system and the punitive relationship between the state and the bill payers must be changed. We have the ability to attract good jobs. … Reducing taxes and developing an environment where small business can grow is key to our state.
