AUGUSTA – Maine’s energy office says heating oil prices continue to fall, with the cash price dropping 15 cents a gallon to a statewide average of $2.93.
Prices have tumbled by $1.78 since they peaked at $4.71 in early July.
The latest weekly survey found a price range from $3.20 in central Maine to $2.35 in the southwestern part of the state.
Kerosene prices fell 22 cents a gallon to $3.52 and propane for domestic heating slipped 4 cents to $3.10.
