HAMPDEN – Bradley Wilcox scored both goals for Bangor Christian to lead the No. 3 Patriots to a 2-0 schoolboy soccer win over the No. 6 Woodland Dragons in an Eastern Maine Class D quarterfinal Wednesday.
Brandon Wilcox assisted on the first goal scored two minutes into the game. The second goal, scored five minutes into the second half, was assisted by Zach Welch. Tyler Alexander stopped four of seven shots for the 11-3-1 Patriots.
Todd Wormell made six saves on 17 shots for 10-5-1 Woodland.
Southern Aroostook 2, Easton 1
At Easton, Tyler Robinson netted the game-winning goal with 33 seconds remaining in the game to lift No. 5 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook past No. 4 Easton.
Dakota Sleeper scored the first goal for Southern Aroostook with 30:14 left in the second half. Dillion Boulier made eight saves on 10 shots for the 10-5-1 Warriors.
Brad Trask scored for Easton on a penalty kick with 4:01 left in the game. Cody Tompkins blocked eight of 12 shots for the 11-3-1 Bears.
Katahdin 3, Fort Fairfield 0
At Stacyville, Billy Duffy and Kolby Gallagher each had a goal and an assist after intermission as the top-seeded Cougars remained undefeated.
Duffy scored on a Gallagher assist with 29:50 left in the second half to break a scoreless deadlock.
Gallagher then scored on a Duffy assist with 4:27 left before Mickey Savage closed out the scoring on a penalty kick.
Matt Tarr made two saves on three shots for 14-0-1 Katahdin.
Austin Dufour made 13 saves on 24 shots for No. 8 Fort Fairfield, which finishes its season with a 9-6-1 record.
Machias 2, Central Aroostook 1
At Machias, Jacob Dahl scored off a through-ball from freshman Tyler Prout with 24 seconds remaining, lifting the second-seeded Bulldogs to a quarterfinal victory over the 10th-seeded Panthers.
Noah Prescott had put 11-4 Machias on the scoreboard with a goal off a 25-yard direct kick with 1:34 left in the first half. Michael Jenkins made 10 saves on 15 shots.
Manny Martinez scored an unassisted goal 7:49 into the first half for 9-5-2 Central Aroostook of Mars Hill. Tyler Rusby made five saves on 10 shots.
Class A
Brunswick 7, Brewer 0
At Brunswick, Matt Peabody had two goals and two assists while Scott Jarosc tallied two goals as No. 2 Brunswick downed No. 10 Brewer.
Gabe Warren notched a goal and assisted on three others while Jesse Benedict and Jordan Timmreck added goals for 14-1-1 Brunswick. Max Rosner contributed two assists while Pete Morrill and Zach McMillan saved all three shots they faced.
Brian Kearns had nine saves on 17 shots for 6-8-2 Brewer.
Class B
Camden Hills 2, Old Town 1
At Rockport, Steven Ford’s goal with 11 minutes left in the first half proved to be the winning edge as the No. 2 Camden Hills Windjammers beat the No. 7 Old Town Coyotes.
Jimmy Weferling assisted on the winning goal, and netted a goal with 26 minutes left in the first half on an assist by Peter Doubleday. Ian Cushing stopped three of four shots for the 12-2-1 Windjammers.
Janis Scheafer scored an unassisted goal for Old Town four minutes into the second half. Alex Caballero made nine saves on 21 shots for the 8-6-2 Coyotes.
Wednesday’s quarterfinal winners advanced to Saturday’s semifinal round.
Presque Isle 4, MDI 0
At Presque Isle, Russ Mortland and Carter Melendez-Christiansen each notched a goal and an assist to propel No. 1 Presque Isle by No. 9 Mount Desert Island.
Josh Allen and Isaac LaJoie each added a goal while Eric Morris and Wilder York grabbed an assist for 14-0-1 Presque Isle. Dillion Kingsbury made two saves on five shots.
Jake Minctons stopped 14 of 25 shots for 8-7-1 MDI.
Ellsworth 2, Erskine 0
At Ellsworth, the fourth-seeded Ellsworth Eagles scored both goals three minutes apart in the first half to oust No. 5 Erskine Academy of South China.
Matt Duhaime recorded an unassisted tally near the 22-minute mark when his shot from just inside the 18-yard line clanged off the cross bar and across the goal line. Pat Kelley scored off a throw-in three minutes later when his throw deflected off the Erskine ‘keeper and into the goal.
Jordan Carter saved seven of eight shots for 14-1-1 Ellsworth while Zach Busmanis and Caleb Bragg Grady turned away seven of 12 for 8-5-3 Erskine.
Class C
Fort Kent 2, Dexter 1
At Dexter, Shane Theriault scored his second goal of the match with 9:57 left in the second half to lift No. 5 Fort Kent to a 2-1 win over the No. 4 Tigers.
Theriault opened the scoring with 26:59 left on a penalty kick, but Dexter tied the match 4:35 later when C.J. Giles scored on an assist from Lee Gustin.
Theriault’s game-winner came on an assist from Thomas Levesque.
Matthew Harvey made 18 saves on 26 shots for 9-5-1 Fort Kent. Nathan Wyman made 15 stops on 23 shots for 9-2-4 Dexter.
Madawaska 5, Lee 0
At Madawaska, Nathan A. Beaulieu recorded a hat trick as the top-ranked and undefeated Owls cruised.
Shawn Parker and Michael Cannan added a goal apiece while Jeff Cyr and John Lee picked up assists for 13-0-2 Madawaska. Nathan P. Beaulieu had four saves on six shots.
Alex Harris stopped 15 of 33 shots for the No. 8 Pandas, who finish 7-8-1.
WM Class D
Greenville 3, Chop Point 0
At Greenville, Greenville tallied all three of its goals in the first half as the No. 2 Lakers shut out No. 7 Chop Point.
Richie Chilson netted two goals, both of which were assisted by Tony DiAngelo, while Dylan Bouchard added an unassisted goal for Greenville. Alex Jardine stopped all five shots he faced for the 8-2-2 Lakers.
Michael Princiolta made 23 saves on 26 shots for 2-7 Chop Point.

Medomak Valley 4, Old Town 1
At Waldoboro, Maia Snow notched two goals in the second half to spark No. 3 Medomak Valley by No. 6 Old Town.
Alanna Vose added a goal for Medomak Valley late in the second half on a pass from Kristin Ames while Roxanne Jelenfy netted one in the first half on an assist from Snow. Rachel Keefe blocked six of 11 shots for the 14-1 Panthers.
Katie Deshane scored an unassisted goal for Old Town in the first half. Annie Cashon made five saves on 14 shots for the 11-4-1 Coyotes.
