CAA Football

Pushaun Brown (University of Maine freshman tailback), football rookie, rushed 136 yards on 16 carries and scored a touchdown in Maine’s 55-7 win over Iona.

America East

Stephanie Gardiner (University of Maine freshman forward), field hockey rookie, scored eventual game-winning goal in win over Fairfield to clinch a spot in the America East tournament.

Little East Conference

Tyler Jasud (University of Southern Maine junior from Rumfod), men’s cross country, won the individual men’s title at New England Alliance/Little East Conference Championships with a time of 25:41.87 on the 8K course.

Alex Gomes (University of Southern Maine freshman), men’s cross country rookie, was first rookie to cross the line in the New England Alliance/Little East Conference Championships with a time of 25:44.79 on the 8K course.

Greg Cox (University of Southern Maine senior forward), men’s soccer offensive, scored the only goal in a 1-0 USM win over Rhode Island College.

NESCAC

Kelly Thomas (Bowdoin College senior goalkeeper), women’s soccer, made a career-high 15 saves in Bowdoin’s 0-0 tie at Tufts Sunday.

Sunrise Conference

Whitney Sinclair (University of Maine at Fort Kent freshman), women’s soccer offensive, scored two goals and assisted another in a 5-1 win over UM-Machias.

Amanda Tracy (University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore), women’s soccer defensive, scored a goal and helped hold UM-Machias to one penalty-kick goal.

Dwayne Smith (University of Maine at Fort Kent junior), men’s soccer offensive, had two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over UM-Machias.

Giovanni Sinclair (University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore), men’s soccer defensive, had four saves in UMFK’s 5-0 win over UM-Machias.
