Mark Socoby (University of Maine junior guard) men’s basketball, had 16 points, four assists three rebounds and three steals in a 100 Club Classic Championship game against Northern Illinois. Socoby was named the tournaments Most Valuable Player.

Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association

Jenny Rollins, (Husson University senior guard) women’s basketball, scored 27 points including 5 three-pointers, leading Eagles over UMaine Fort Kent

Margo Russell, (University of New England freshman forward) scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds pacing the Nor’easters over Maine Maritime. Russell was also named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week.

Little East Conference

Tyler Jasud (University of Southern Maine junior) cross country, finished 11th at the NCAA Div III New England Regional Championship and was named runner of the week.

Alex Gomes (University of Southern Maine freshman) cross country, finished 16th at the NCAA Div III New England Regional Championship and was named rookie of the week.
