BANGOR – Dr. Tom Palmer, retired Bangor surgeon and author of “Cracked Marbles: Life’s Lessons for a Maine Surgeon,” will be signing his books from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of “Cracked Marbles” will go to education for physicians on the topic of doctor-patient relationships and to the hospital auxiliary.
