Choice’s double-double spearheads Colby men

FARMINGTON – Colby College’s Adam Choice had 17 points and 11 rebounds and the Mules used a first-half surge to pull away from the UMaine-Farmington Beavers for a 63-49 men’s basketball victory at Dearborn Gymnasium Wednesday.

Artie Cutrone added 12 points and Kyle Donovan 10 for Colby College of Waterville.

Eric Taylor led UMF with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Ted Neil had 10 points.

At Biddeford, Kelley Paradis led four players in double figures with 21 points as the University of New England pulled away for the win.

Sara Pelkey netted 18 points for the Nor’Easters while Margo Russell scored 12 and grabbed nine rebounds. Carrie Bunnell had 11 points.

Meghan Daigle paced St. Joseph’s of Standish with 20 points and Carolyn Freeman scored 11.
