Teen gets prison time for selling cocaine

PORTLAND – A former high school football player in Maine is going to prison for eight years for trafficking in cocaine from an Auburn apartment.

Cameron Camire, now 18, was sentenced Dec. 4 after pleading guilty in May to a charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

He was a junior at Edward Little High School in Auburn at the time of his arrest.

Police said Camire was carrying $9,900 when he was taken into custody. Inside his apartment, police recovered three handguns as well as a Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle.
