AUGUSTA – Heating fuel prices continue to go down in Maine.
According to the state energy office’s weekly survey released Monday, the average price for a gallon of heating oil was $2.47.
That’s down 11 cents from a week ago and $2.24 since the price peaked at $4.71 in July.
The lowest average price was in southern Maine, with the highest average price found in northern Maine.
Kerosene was selling on average for $3 a gallon, down 10 cents from last week.
Propane was selling for $2.79 a gallon, down 6 cents.
