GORHAM – One person was killed and two others were critically injured when a Jeep Wrangler that was passing a truck and a school bus collided with an oncoming minivan, authorities said.

The accident happened Friday night at the intersection of Route 114 and Farm Field Road in Gorham, and police officers were continuing their investigation on Sunday.

The victims’ names had not been released Sunday evening.

The Jeep passed a truck and tried to overtake the school bus when it collided with a Ford Windstar at 7 p.m. Friday, Sgt. Chris Sanborn said.

The Windstar spun into the bus but there were no children aboard, he said.
