The honor parts for the 1996 graduating class at Islesboro High School have been announced.

Matt Caron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Caron of Islesboro, is the valedictorian. A member of the National Honor Society, he was active in soccer, basketball, track, drama and chorus. Caron will attend Thomas College in Waterville this fall.

Zachary Siswick, son of Shar Siswick of Islesboro and Dudley Siswick of Springfield, Mass., is the salutatorian.

Graduation was held June 9 at the Kinnicutt Center at the Islesboro School.
