Anyone who saw NBC Nightly News on Aug. 21 heard some of the most beautiful music ever performed. How fortunate are the people of Windham to have this group of young performers singing to the beat of their enthusiastic director. We may wonder what the future holds for our younger generation. We need wonder no longer.

Congratulations to the students and to their director on their talent and their incredible performance. And congratulations to the town of Windham for having the vision to see that music is the only international language. Shame on those districts who see fit to cut their music programs.
