SEARSPORT — Authorities were searching woods near Cain’s Pond off the Mount Ephraim Road Tuesday for two Massachusetts children who failed to return from an evening walk.

According to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department, 13-year-old Robert O’Shea and his 9-year-old sister, Shawna, were reported missing by their parents at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The family was vacationing at a camp in the area. At press time, several wardens, sheriff’s deputies and Searsport police officers were involved in the search, according to the sheriff’s office.
