Our guest for Week 8 of the 31st Football Forecast is Tom Palmer, general manager of Best Western-Black Bear Inn in Orono. Palmer is a Bangor native who played football and golf at Bangor High before attending Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, Mass., where he played football baseball and golf.

He graduated from Colby College with a degree in business in 1978 and has been involved in the hotel management business for 16 years.

He and his wife, Belinda, have three children: Ben, Tom and Molly.

Last week’s co-guests, twin brothers Mike and Mark Haines, compiled a 14-6 mark.
