CARRABASSETT VALLEY – The giant slalom Nor Am, the Webber Cup, scheduled for Friday was postponed due to heavy snow in the Carrabassett Valley. The race will take place Sunday.

More than a foot of snow fell on Sugarloaf Mountain Friday, creating visibility problems for the racers and slowing down the course. Groomers assigned to maintain the course through the night could not pack the snow down fast enough, forcing the postponement.
