While searching a Bangor man wanted on warrants early Tuesday morning, Brewer police found a marijuana roach and five foil strips containing LSD, all hidden under a sole insert in one of his shoes, according to reports.
Police also found two sheets of perforated blotter paper, each containing 100 perforated blocks inside the jacket of Michael E. Gordon, 24, of Bangor, according to Officer Tony Pinette. The sheets normally carry hits of LSD but were empty.
At the police station, Gordon, 24, admitted the foil strips found in his shoe each contained hits of LSD, representing Spiderman faces. He said he bought the sheets on the Internet. Police also found a single pill of Ecstasy and a pair of scissors that Pinette reported still contained marijuana residue on it.
Gordon was charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, namely LSD; possession of a Schedule W drug, namely Ecstasy; possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the time of his arrest, Gordon was wanted for failure to pay fines or fees for convictions for possession of schedule drugs and violation of bail conditions.
Few details were available Tuesday, but Bangor police reported that they arrested Guy Davis, 37, charging him with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
According to a prepared statement by Detective Sgt. Jeff Millard, the incident Tuesday is still under investigation. The charge against Davis is a felony.
A Bangor woman reported that a 3-foot to 4-foot sacred heart statue was taken from her front lawn on Broadway.
The woman told police she heard a noise around 10 p.m. Monday but thought nothing of it as she had made preparations for someone to take away the statue to have it painted. She called the painter and was told the statue wasn’t there. The statue was valued at $300.
