What is this world coming to? We have worked our way of thinking around to where no one is responsible for his or her own actions.
I go out for a night on the town and end up hurting myself or getting in an accident — not my fault, someone shouldn’t have served me a drink. I climb up a stepladder and stand on the top step, fall and hurt myself — not my fault, the company didn’t put a warning on the ladder telling me not to do that. I sit on my butt all year and earn very little money — not my fault, the government gives me earned income credit.
And now all this jumping on the band wagon about cigarettes. Everything is the cigarette companies’ fault. They enticed me to start smoking and didn’t warn me of any dangers. Baloney! What big company hasn’t tried to entice you to buy their product? Even if it is not good for you or your health? Somewhere in here you have to think for yourself. Accept responsibility.
