ALLAGASH — Divers and wardens from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife are searching for the body of an elderly man who apparently fell from his boat into Johnson Pond Tuesday.

Paul Fournier, spokesman for the department, said little information was available on the incident Tuesday, other than the man is presumed drowned.

Johnson Pond is in the Allagash Lake region of northern Piscataquis County.
