MOUNTAINDALE, N.Y. – The Bangor Blue Ox pulled off a 6-3 win over the Catskill Cougars Tuesday night.

The Blue Ox scoring effort was led by left fielder Hugh Walker who blasted a home run in the first inning, making his total ten on the season so far, tying him for third in the League in home run count. He also doubled and singled.

Chad White delivered a triple for the Ox, and a plethora of singles were offered up by Dave Ekelund, Steve Hine, Tim Morrow, Fernando Ramsey, Gabe Duross and Manny Garcia.

On the mound, Pete Hartmann and Mark Hreben combined for a total of 13 strikeouts. Hartman got the win, bringing his record to 5-5. Hreben got the save, his fourth, striking out the last four batters. In his last 14 innings, he has allowed just five htits and two earmed runs.

The Blue Ox play a doubleheader against Catskill tonight at 6 p.m. to make up for Monday’s postponement.
