BANGOR – The Maine Race for the Cure will host a “Women Breaking Barriers in Sports” dinner 6 p.m. Friday at Norumbega Hall. Tickets are $5.50 for students and $10.50 for adults.

Members of the first United States silver medal winning Olympic Women’s basketball team, professional players and University of Maine women’s basketball team will be honoerd for their accomplishments.

A basketball clinic will be held Saturday at the UMaine field house at 10 a.m. The clinic is open to all students for $5, with a $2 discount for anyone bringing dinner tickets. For more information call Rosemary Baldacci or Patti Sawyer at 947-2582.
