With (letter writer) Isabel Maresh, I agree that a return of “Family Ties” by Connee Jellison would be welcomed by many of your readers. As co-editor of “The Bickford Newsletter,” I find that interest in genealogy is increasing as our subscription list continues to grow with each edition.

Is there really a need to carry both Ann Landers and Dear Abby in the NEWS? Either, or both, could be replaced by “Family Ties.” It would certainly be of more service to your readers than the duplications of the advice columns you continue printing. Phyllis V. Meyer Pittsfield
